Arco sell safety products and equipment primarily to the industrial sector, and they increasingly promote their advisory and training services, as self-proclaimed ‘Experts in Safety’. The Design Wing have worked alongside Arco for several years at a variety of trade shows, with the Safety & Health Expo being their main focus every year. Their emphasis on expertise within their industry has been reflected in the stand designs, whilst always conveying their bold branding and colour palette of black, white and greys with touches of red and yellow. The designs aim to portray Arco as an all-encompassing solution for both quality safety products and how to select and use them correctly, setting their products and services within an accessible arena structure.

We designed this freestanding display specifically for Sparkworld, as part of a continuing relationship with the retailer offering us the opportunity to design, build and install bespoke displays for multiple different brands within one large retail space, that has evolved over several years. The trend for larger ‘showroom’ style retailers within the white goods market offers customers the benefit of seeing a premium selection of products within strongly branded environments that enhance the brands, rather than dull them to anonymity as can be the case in larger multiple retailers. We have also carried out several similar installations in Hansons in Hull and BIKA in Liverpool among others. The use of LED’s is becoming more prevalent in displays as they offer a low running cost for the retailer with maximum impact in the form of graphic light boxes and underlit plinths to catch customer’s attention.

Blomberg are a Euronics-exclusive white goods brand, and The Design Wing have been installing a variety of bespoke display units for both freestanding and built-in appliances for more than 5 years. The units have evolved in time as the product range has expanded; space within Euronics stores is often at a premium and our units are compact while reinforcing the brand with their use of quality materials and finishes such as stainless steel, acrylic and decorative laminates. We design, manufacture and install the units in batches to maximise the efficiency of both material cost and mileage. The units generally arrive on site flat-packed and our fitters assemble them in situ, and install products too. We deal directly with the retailers so our clients leave us to plan installation schedules across the country.

3M have within their vast portfolio of products, some leading edge innovative technologies that benefit the environment through energy-saving, alternatives to fossil fuels and reducing waste. This conference in Brussels coincided with European Parliament conferences on sustainability and they were able to attract key speakers and visitors to see how they can make a difference on a huge scale. The venue was an imposing office space with 7-storey glass atrium with a ‘living wall’ of plants. We transformed the atrium with enormous recyclable banners that sat in existing chrome frames making maximum use of the building’s features, bespoke product displays made from recycled materials, as well as providing audio-visual equipment to relay the lectures around the building. We were liaising with 3M product managers across Europe to bring the collection together on time.

We carry out specific retail display analysis focused around targeted POS display campaigns.

We also conduct mystery shopper activity for some of our existing clients, monitoring how their products are represented and sold in store and providing specific feedback and recommendations for improving in store presence and display / POS solutions.

We have carried out various projects for 3M from Aura Gen 3 disposable mask POS displays in Arco to specialist masking tapes in Pro Paint retail partners. Product demonstration cases are a great solution for sales and marketing teams to display often technical and delicate products and associated items inside a secure, well laid out case that is portable and gives peace of mind that the contents are well protected by the layers of foam and rigid outer shell.

Compartments are created with machine cut foam, and there are many options of upgrades including adding brush nylon to the foam surface to give a more premium effect, adding ticketing, and printed external graphics or ‘etched’ effect logo for example.  We work with our clients in choosing the best size and style of case and a logical layout of the contents, showing their products off to their best.
